DAVE STARR - TOM PETTY

Dave has been performing, writing, recording and producing great music since the age of 14. From his start in his parent’s basement performing on Friday and Saturday nights doing covers by his first inspirations such as Elvis, The Stones and The Beatles, for family and friends, to extensive touring and recording after high school it was always apparent that music would always be a BIG part of Dave’s life. Straight out of High School Dave joined a full-time touring cover band where he really learned to hone his craft. Playing in various bands such as (L.A. North, Live Wire, Choke Cherry, Dizzy, Side Show and many more) as a bass player, guitar player, lead and backing vocalist it was inevitable that Dave would embark on a journey as an original artisty while touring as guitarist for L.A. North,  The band was then renamed DSB (Dave Starr Band), an original album was released, and future tours included opening act slots for such bands as Biff Naked, The New Meanies, Rusty, See Spot Run and many more.  Now as a part of Petty Nicks, Dave has found a new love for performing with a band that has no expectations and who’s only goals are to put on a great shows, have a lot of fun, create new relationships, and put on an amazing experience .

ROLLAND VIDOK - DRUMS AND PERCUSSION

Rolland is a very well versed musician. A sought after drummer ans well as drum tech.  Many years of touring, performing and relationships in the industry makes Rolland the perfect pick for Petty Nicks His integrity to stay true to the music keeps all the rest of the members on track and on key. Rolland brings so much to the project that we would never stop typing.
Come out and see for yourself.

PAUL CRAMPTON - LEAD GUITARS

Born in England, Paul moved to Canada and grew up in Vancouver playing around town in original progressive rock bands for many years. Paul spent the 80's touring all over western Canada playing 6 nights a week playing everything from Duran Duran..to Motley Crue...To all original projects. The road took its toll and Paul then took many years off. Paul got back into music in the last bunch of years playing around Edmonton with a number of local bands. Now as a member of Petty Nicks, the sky is the limit.

BRIAN BLACK - BASS GUITAR AND VOCALS

Brian has been‎ playing‎ guitar‎ since‎ he‎ was‎ 10 years old, borrowing‎ his sister’s‎ guitar‎ and‎ playing‎ along‎ to April‎ Wine‎ albums. In a Grade‎ 10‎ high‎ school‎ music‎ program,‎ while all‎ the‎ other‎ kids‎ were‎ learning‎ Ode‎ to‎ Joy Brian‎ and‎ his friends‎ were‎ in‎ the‎ back‎ corner‎ playing‎ Ain’t‎ Talking‎ ‘bout‎ Love. Once out‎ of‎ high‎ school Brian climbed‎ aboard‎ a‎ truck‎ to‎ make‎ a‎ living.‎ Long‎ hours,‎ longer‎ Saskatchewan‎ ‎highways,‎ but‎ still‎ he kept‎ playing‎ guitar.‎ With the same‎ friends‎ from‎ high‎ school‎ Brian formed‎ a‎ band‎ in‎ ’85‎ called‎ “The‎ Edge",‎ where‎ he first‎ picked‎ up‎ the‎ bass. Playing basements,‎ ‎garages,‎ and‎ school‎ after‎ grad‎ parties he learned‎ and‎ honed‎ techniques‎ and‎ styles‎ of‎ playing‎ until‎ the‎ opportunity‎ to‎ move‎ to‎ Calgary‎ to‎ join‎ an‎ established‎‎ band‎ named‎ Teacher’s‎ Pet. Many years,‎ a‎ few‎ bands,‎ and‎ several‎ clubs‎ later‎ after‎ meeting‎ his future‎ ex-wife Brian got‎ a‎ haircut‎ and‎ a‎ real‎ job. Still‎ playing‎ guitar,‎ ‎occasionally expanding‎ his‎ range‎ and playing‎ more‎ guitar. Returning‎ to‎ the‎ bass‎ was‎ inevitable.‎ After‎ attending‎ a‎ Saturday‎ jam‎ at‎ a‎ local‎ watering‎ hole he pulled‎ his‎ Fender‎ from‎ the‎ wall,‎ and‎ set‎ out‎ to‎ find‎ a‎ way‎ to‎ get‎ back‎ on‎ stage. Now as a member of Petty Nicks Brian looks forward‎ to‎ meeting‎ and‎ rocking‎ with‎ people‎ all‎ over.‎
